The Seattle Kraken took a different approach to building their team in the expansion draft by ensuring that they protected salary cap space. The result of this approach is a team built with established players, but no real superstars. The Kraken are obviously looking ahead to future free agents and will spend some time building a team culture that attracts future talent.
