The Penguins came to prominence in the early 1990s with back to back Stanley Cup victories in 1991 and 1992. Back then the team was lead by Mario Lemieux and Jaromír Jágr. The modern face of the Pens is Sidney Crosby and the team has won another 3 Stanley cups in 2009, 2017, and 2018 with him as captain.
