2023 Eastern Conference Round 1: Hurricanes vs. Islanders

Pelee Island Pinot Noir Reserve VQA

VS.

Thornbury Pinot Noir

Tale of the Tape:

These are two teams that play physical brands of hockey. This might end up being one of the most physically taxing series in the first round. Carolina has a lot to prove and the Islanders ultimately have nothing to lose – with that being said, this will be an entertaining series.

Hockey WineUp Prediction

Hockey WineUp is choosing Thornbury Pinot Noir – Marlborough New Zealand produces very approachable Pinot Noirs that are true expressions of New Zealand Wine. The Pelee Island Pinot Noir is a unique wine from Ontario and worth trying to compare to the Niagara Region, however in our opinion the Thornbury selection is superior.
